When I was graduating from Humber College, our class was given the chance to design our
Grad Show. If you wanted to participate you were given some information as to what was
need to be included, some sizes, where it was being used, and the three things needed for the contest.

I decided to join the contest, because I thought it would be fun, and it would be great to use
the skills I learned throughout the year. Overall, I came in second place, so I am very proud of
what I was able to do.

For this project, I was trying to think of how to portray all three departments that were being showcased. I thought of lightbulbs because we are all new graduates, we have new ideas
to add to the industries. I also wanted to create something that wasn’t your typical set of
graphics that you see on event posters. Overall, I wanted to have fun with it, and
I did - especially with making the lettering inside of the lightbulbs.
